I will give you our recommended vaccination schedule. Please take into account it may vary depending when your puppy's vaccines began and how often he/she has been vaccinated since you adopted him/her.
Vaccine set #1- (5-7 weeks)- 1 shot, fecal, deworm/heartworm prevention
Vaccine set #2- (8-10 weeks)- 1 shot, , nose drops, repeat fecal if necessary, deworm/hw prevention
Vaccine set #3- (11-14 weeks)- same as last month's visit
Vaccine set #4- ((15-16 weeks )- 2 shots. At this visit they will receive their Rabies vaccine and will be given their Rabies tag and certificate, it will now be your responsibility to give the montly heartworm and flea prevention. Also, now is a good time to make the appointment to have the puppy spayed or neutered.
Let me go out on a limb here and make something very clear. Parvo is a DEADLY intestinal virus of puppies. It is predominantly seen in unvaccinated puppies under the age of 1 year. If you do not get your puppy vaccinted on time, it is highly likely he will come down with Parvo. Now I don't want to see your child crying when I tell them their puppy died of Parvo, and I am certain you don't want to tell your boyfriend the puppy he gave you died along with y'alls love, and as for the person who gave you the puppy out of spite...well, think how mad they will be when they see what a great family dog you have and you get to thank them over and over for such a meaningful gift.
So vaccinate....Just Do It!!
