Out of the starting gates, Phillip Phillips gave us another stellar performance. Steven Tyler picked a phenomal song for him. Personally, I think Steven gets his style of music the best. As for his second song, I still liked it. Did it do as much for me as the first, no. But I still feel it is a song I would download and listen to on my iPod. Now the third song...well, I'm just not so sure of. It was by far my least favorite but yet the judges gave him a standing ovation. I just think PP is so cute behind the guitar and, clearly, is much more comfortable. Throughout his third song he kept rubbing his left hand on his thigh; he just didn't know what to do with it. In this song, his voice sounded good but his stage presence went down a considerable amount. I was o.k. with it, yet did not feel it worthy of a standing O. However, I am a veterinarian, not a famous musician, cerlebrity and certainly not an American Idol judge. I make waaaay more money being a vet!
