I like to think I am a rather fashionable girl. Some may like my fashion; some may not. My favorite part of fashion is, just like any other regular gal, shoes. Here lately my fashion has suffered a bit from my inability to wear a cute pair of shoes. The staple of my wardrobe has been a pair of tennis shoes with my orthopedic inserts and my Nike flip flops. Sometimes I need to switch back and forth for a little variety on my feet; changing shoes changes the pressure points on my feet, thereby giving me temporary relief. I have dealt with plantar fasciitis, a condition of inflammation of the tissue on the bottom surface of my feet, for several years now. Carrying around 25 extra pounds, yes I said 25 extra pounds, has exacerbated the problem. Lately, swelling of the whole foot has become the problem, so now, any shoe that has a snug fit is just too tight. Therefore, I find comfort in a flip flop or a loosely tied tennis shoe. But their is always a bright side to every thing; thank goodness I am not pregnant during the fall and winter, which is prime boot wearing time! What a tragedy that would be! But no worries! I will make up for lost time in the months after Baby C's birth. I think I may just reward myself with a new pair of Frye boots! I can't wait!!
